In the evening, Holden and Adrian were drinking and chatting on the terrace.

Realizing Adrian was just teasing, Holden punched him lightly and arched an eyebrow. “Thinking of starting a scandal?”
“Absolutely not,” Adrian replied quickly, waving his hand dismissively.

Jennifer had caught another woman sitting on Adrian’s lap. Before Adrian could push the woman away, Jennifer had exploded in anger.
They had had a fierce argument, and Jennifer had been so furious that she had threatened to divorce Adrian.

Holden then said, “It seems you’re also unaware of Sadie’s existence. If you’re really my friend, how could you not know about her?”

Looking at Adrian, Holden was at a loss for words. He just kept drinking, feeling that something was amiss.
